Are you a shrimp lover??? Perhaps you should not read this!

Deformed Gulf of Mexico shrimp and other crusteaceans are showing up with no eyes and deformities threatening the future of shrimp fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Gulf Shrimp Born with No Eyes

Ever since the 2010 Gulf Oil spill by British Petroleum caused by an explosion 5,000 feet below the surface, the oil leaked for a whole summer before it was stopped.

After the leak, BP Oil dispersed a chemical called Corexit or Corexit 9500 an unacceptable toxin by EPA classification and continued to dump the chemical into the Gulf in great volumes.

British Petroleum did this, to sink the oil to the bottom of the gulf, out of sight and out of mind so it would not have to be cleaned up by hand.  Needless to say the oil got to the treasured, delicate shrimp beds and fishing areas where the state Louisiana drew much of its income and damaged a whole industry.

Research: Gulf Shrimp Widely Contaminated With Carcinogens

Gulf Shrimp Widely Contaminated With Carcinogens from Oil

Conservative estimates indicate that the 2010 BP oil disaster released over 200 million gallons of oil into the Gulf, followed by at least 1.8 million gallons of dispersants.

While the use of dispersants helped mitigate the public relations disaster by preventing the persistent formation of surface oil, as well as keeping many beaches visibly untouched, they also drove the oil deeper into the water column (and food chain) rendering a 2-dimensional problem (surface oil) into a 3-dimensional one.

Additionally, research indicates that dispersants prevent the biodegradation of toxic oil components, as well as increasing dispersant absorption into fish from between 6 to 1100 fold higher levels.

By selling Americans on the propaganda that “Everything is all right”, “Everything is A OK”, and ads  that portray an all American  saying “watch me eat a shrimp my fellow citizen” and commercials taunting  “Watch me play in the sand in the gulf”

You will NOT find one word of any of these stories in any Mainstream news outlet.

The liberal progressives don't want any drilling at all. Cloward and Piven strategy. Create a colossal crisis that "only government can fix". Crisis? How about bringing our economy to a grinding halt for lack of fuel.

One of the things I keep hearing about is how BP has refused to show the government it's mud log Data obtained during the drilling. There has been speculation that BP had bore as much as 30,000 feet instead the presumed 18,000 ft.

"...However, evidence shows that BP executives were aware of the looming disaster before March 17.
According to the May 31 Bloomberg article 'BP Lacked Well Control Six Weeks Before Gulf Rig Disaster, E-Mails Show':..."
This is truly scary stuff....I'd like to know exactly when the White House found out about this. Did they know about it before the explosion...? Our government is so corrupt right now...I don't think we'll ever find out the truth.

I keep hearing that they have tried everything to stop the flow of oil. But, I don't recall hearing an attempt similar to that outlined below.

1) Make a cylinder 20-50 feet long equal to the diameter of the pipe spewing oil.
2) Add a flange at 45 feet to keep the cylinder from dropping to the bottom of the well.
3) Taper the first 10 feet to a point to help insert the cylinder into the pipe.
4) Lower the cylinder into the pipe until the flange stops it. Add mass to the cylinder to keep it from being pushed out of the well.

This should reduce the flow of oil to gallons vs hundreds of thousands of gallons.

Nobody on the news channels has picked up on the idea that the "relief" well(s) will probably be totally ineffective. 1) A well can handle only a certain amount of crude per second. 2) Will there be the shipping capacity to handle it? 3) Whatever crude not extracted via the "relief" well(s) will still come up through the Deepwater Horizon hole. 4) Unless the pressure in the oil reservoir goes to zero as a result of the "relief" well(s), the crude will still pour out of the Deepwater Horizon hole.

Let's seal the leak!

Thanks for posting that. I don't know what their responsibilities are in this mess, but I'm glad to hear they are "saying" they will do something to help.

This oil spill, and the administration's ineffective response to it, will become Obama's Chernobyl. The adminisration's constant refusal to accept aid from countries with knowledge of containment and cleanup, the administration's insistence on putting obstacle after obstacle before the states that are try to protect their coastlines, and the administration's woefully incompetent leadership in this crisis should NOT be reason to pass more taxes on a nation that already overtaxed, and should NOT be an excuse to jam unproven renewables on us, and certainly should NOT be the reason to stop ALL deep-water drilling, which only worsens the plight of the workers in the region. Instead, the administration SHOULD have immediately waived the Jones Act, accepted any and all aid offered by knowledgeable countries, and expedited whatever the governors in the affected states were asking for to contain the spill and protect their coastlines and marshlands. As for stopping ALL the drilling, we don't do that when there's a major airline catastrophe, or a major train wreck, etc. And we definitely don't do it for six months!
It was the federal government who insisted that the only drilling permits they would allow would be at the 5,000 ft. level. Louisianna wanted BP to drill in 500 ft. of water. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM, NOT THE SOLUTION (to quote my favorite 20th Century President).
